Look inwards to your Professional Associations: if you are thinking of how to go about getting referrals for your business opportunities, then join your professional association.  It's a very powerful source for richly rewarding contacts that can result in a tremendous number of referrals from people with a different specialty than yours. You may even join the professional association of your target market.  From there you have to go extra mile to let the members know about your capacity to make things happen and doing this will make them trust you and whatever you bring to them will not be discarded. What this implies is: Form those relationships; see and be seen among them and before you know it, you will be considered the "go-to" person in your industry.

Make special contribution among different interest groups: Whatever your personal interest may be, you can equally make yourself known in different areas or sectors within your community. Whether you're interested in sports, the Internet, politics, crafts, poetry, theater, travel, or underwater basket weaving, there are some other people who will share your interests in one way or the other. You can utilize this to make known your business opportunities to them in order to get reliable referrals from them. You can as well ask around or look at your local newspaper listings or search the Internet for groups you can join that will give a boost to your network marketing adventure.

Seek Attention With Newcomers Clubs: If you just get to a city and haven't had the chance to meet many people there yet to introduce your business opportunities to, then you have no option than to ask around. You'll be delighted to learn that a lot of communities all over the world have clubs for people just like you. Supposing you don’t know who to ask, you may decide to search for it on the internet.
